Frequently asked questions

Purchase
Gamekeep is a one-time purchase on iOS and Android (App Store or Google Play). The app has no in-app purchases and no subscription. Purchases and refunds are handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details.
Data & sync
iOS: Your library is stored locally and optionally synced via iCloud (CloudKit). Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID in iOS Settings and that iCloud is enabled for Gamekeep. For sync issues: restart the app and wait a moment — large libraries can take time.
Android: Your library is stored locally. You can optionally enable Google Drive sync in Settings; a copy is then stored in your own Google Drive app-data folder. Export a CSV before switching phones or reinstalling.
Shared collections
iOS: Collections can be shared with others via CloudKit. Everyone involved needs iCloud and a current app version. If a shared collection is missing, send us a debug log from Settings.
Android: There is no live sharing. You can export a collection as CSV and share the file yourself.
Import & barcode
Add games via search, barcode scan, Steam import, or CSV (e.g. PSN). Barcode scanning requires the camera. Steam sign-in happens directly with Valve — we do not store Steam credentials.
Free & subscriptions
The tab shows public free games and subscription catalogs. Region and services are set in Settings. Alerts for new or ending offers run locally on the device. No collection data is sent.
Price finder & market values
Market values come from third parties (e.g. PriceCharting). Shop links in the price tab open external websites in the system browser — prices there may differ from values shown in the app.
Widgets
iOS: Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show a summary of your library.
Android: Home screen widgets for library, recent games, and quick access.
Open the app once after major changes so widget data refreshes.
Show or hide tabs
Under Settings → Tabs you can show, hide, and reorder optional tabs. Info and Library always stay visible.
App language
Under Settings → Language you can choose the UI independently of the system language (German, English, and more).
